We provide quality individualised services at cost-effective prices.
We utilise best practice and newest technology to improve your business and keep costs low. We believe in constantly challenging the norm to see how things can be done better.
We offer a value-added service beyond simple book-keeping and accounting. We believe if we see things in performing our services that could improve your business we will let you know - drawing on our experience in the arts and community sectors we can truly add value while you get the basic services you need.
Engaging someone who is a step away from the business means you get clear and objective advice and support.
We have 20+ years of hands-on experience in the music industry AND 20+ years in Accounting and Business Management primarily the Arts and Community sectors.
Chartered Accountant registration, Certificate of Public Practice and BAS Agent registration mean you can be assured of the quality of services provided.
We understand that and work with you to achieve your needs using our experience and skills.
No individual or organisation is the same and their needs can differ greatly. Before commencing any engagement/relationship we like to get a good understanding of the individual or organisation, what your goals and aims are, what are the good and bad aspects of what you do and how it impacts what you are trying to achieve as well as discuss how you currently approach things,
Once we feel we have a good grasp of what your business is (we do this through discussion and encouraging feedback at all times) we will then discuss the thoughts on current needs within context. We explore with "what if, have you tried, why do you do it that way" type questions to not only enhance our understanding but to have you know what you are actually needing. We then assess what might be the best approach for you getting what you need - it could be maintaining business as usual (pay the staff, pay the bills, collect the money, report to stakeholders) while you/we have time to review structures to see how better to do things, or it could be you have a need to maintain day to day functions while waiting for a new recruit, or you need assistance with review and restructure.
Once discussions have taken place we then look at how we can best provide the services to you and finalise the solution/service provision in consultation with you. We also encourage regular constructive feedback and review practices as businesses/careers change quickly and we want to support you, not hinder you achieving your goals. We tell it like it is - we don't tell you you need more services when you don't need them and if we don't have skills and expertise in certain areas we will let you know and will help you in finding them.
